Nancy Alonso "The First Lady of Salsa" was born and
raised in Brooklyn, New York of Puerto Rican parents.
Nancy grew up in New York City during the height
of the Salsa era and witnessed history in the making.

Verny Varela is an arranger, composer, singer and flutist.  Born in Cali, Colombia and raised in the "Barrio Obrero," home to some of the world’s most famous salsa musicians. Verny has had a lifelong love affair with music and started  singing and playing with his father's band "El Nuevo Son" at age 15.
